Totall System
Mega-Float system consists of floating structure, mooring system and access facility:

In general, Mega-Float is positioned in sea such as inland sea or deep in the bay. In this case no breakwater is required. However, depending on the sea condition of the site, breakwater may be provided.

Mooring system such as dolphin and fender is provided to moor the floating structure.

Access facility such as bridge is provided for connection with existing land.

Floating Structure has a similar shell construction to ship as shown in the figure below. The structure has been used for a long time and proved to be light, strong and reliable.

As to Breakwater, whichever type of conventional breakwater can be applied such as caisson or cellular type. Use of current-through type would be effective so as to minimize impact on ecology.

Access Facility such as bridge requires transition device which absorbs relative movement between access facility and floating structure, for the latter moves vertically with tide and horizontally with drift force. Typical example of such a device is used in suspension bridge as shown below.

Buildings can be built on Mega-float. The heavier the building is, the larger drift is provided in order to increase buoyancy. The inner space of floating structure is used just like underground room.
