Collision
Since the floating structure is designed to have enough strength to the collision of the largest ship passing around the floating structure, the damage by the collision is limited at the local area not to cause such further damage as the floating structure sinking or drifting.
The example of the investigation on the collision of a ship is as follows:
Size of the ship ---- 80,000 DWT
Speed ---- 12 knots
Direction ---- Right angle
<Result> ---- Limited local damage
